I prioritise improving the areas of a student’s game that swiftly impact their score, fostering a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Through extensive research, I swiftly identify key areas for improvement, applying simple yet effective techniques. My favourite course is St Andrews’ Old Course, with a lowest round of 60 at the Strathtyrum Course. The putter holds a special place in my bag, and Seve Ballesteros remains my all-time favourite player. For practice, I favour Toptracer30.
Leaving Canada at 13 for Scotland marked the start of Palmer’s golf journey. Armed with degrees in Sports Coaching and Sports and Exercise Science, and as a PGA professional, Palmer offers top-tier golf instruction. His expertise spans from teaching at the Performance Academy at Trump International Golf Club in Dubai to leading at Trump Turnberry Golf Academy. Palmer excels in coaching golfers of all levels, drawing inspiration from Tiger Woods. The Old Course at St Andrews holds a special place in his heart, where he achieved his lowest score of 64.

My personal best round is a 65 at the Old Course, St Andrews. My go-to club is the 9 iron, reflecting my precision-focused style. Thomas has graduated and returned home to Scotland, bringing with him a résumé packed with experience, accolades, and undeniable talent. With elite amateur victories, collegiate championships, and a proven ability to thrive under pressure, Thomas has now turned professional, and aiming to play in a number of tournaments this season.

Ailene is a valued member of the Forthview Golf Range support team, regularly seen at reception and around the range assisting golfers. Ailene brings a friendly and helpful presence to the facility. Though she is a non-playing member of the team, Ailene enjoys watching golf, with her favourite course being the Old Course at St Andrews. Her dedication to supporting golfers and her passion for the sport make her an indispensable and beloved part of the Forthview community.
Grant, our true gentleman, is always on hand to meet and greet golfers at the range. Known for his helpful and supportive nature, he is a favourite among golfers of all ages. His favourite course is North Berwick, where his best round is 85. When in doubt, he reaches for his go-to club, the 7 iron. Seve Ballesteros is Grant’s golfing inspiration, and his most enjoyed Toptracer game is My Practice. With his warm demeanour and dedication to assisting golfers, Grant ensures everyone has a great experience at the range.
Behind the scenes, Eddie ensures everything runs smoothly. His attention to detail and unwavering support make him the unsung hero of our team. Eddie’s favourite golf course is Plainfield Country Club in NJ, and his lowest round of 71 was achieved at Kilspindie. His go-to club is the 6 iron, and his favourite player is Tom Watson. At the range, Eddie enjoys playing Nearest the Pin. His dedication to helping every team member and his passion for golf make him an invaluable asset to our operation, keeping everything on track and everyone supported.
Alisdair is another of our unsung heroes who ensures the range is pristine and ready for our practicing golfers. Arriving early and working diligently, he makes sure the grounds are in top condition. An expert in groundworks, Alisdair is crucial to maintaining the high standards of our range. His dedication ensures that golfers always have the perfect environment to practice and improve their game. Away from the range Alisdair enjoys Fortrose & Rose Mackie where his lowest round is 82. His favourite club is his 5 wood with most admired player is the “Big Easy” Earnie Els.
Georgia Foster, 17 years old and in her final year of high school, is a valued member of Forthview Golf Range. With a golfing journey starting at the age of 6, she’s become an integral part of the team, impressing both colleagues and visiting golfers alike. Holding positions as Junior Captain at Falkirk Golf Club and Golf Mentor for the Stephen Gallagher Foundation, Georgia demonstrates leadership and dedication beyond her years. Her efforts extend to promoting the range through managing the TikTok page, showcasing her creativity and passion for the sport.
Favouring the picturesque Fortrose and Rosemarkie course, Georgia’s lowest round of 79 highlights her skill and determination. Her affinity for the 7 iron reflects a refined technique and comfort in her game. Inspired by the legendary Tiger Woods, Georgia’s admiration for the sport’s greats fuels her own aspirations.
